On November 8, Vice Minister of Commerce Wang Bingnan had talks with the Kenyan Minister of Industry, Trade and Cooperation Hon. Peter Munya, who accompanied the President of Kenya Uhuru Kenyatta to participate in the first China International Import Expo in Shanghai. The two parties exchanged views on accelerating the implementation of the important consensus reached by the leaders of the two countries, and further promoting China-Kenya trade and development cooperation. The two parties agreed to build the mechanism of work group of smooth trade of the Belt and Road Initiative under the mechanism of China-Kenya economic and trade joint committee, focusing on coordinating and solving problems and questions in promoting the smooth trade of the Belt and Road Initiative, studying and exploiting the potential of bilateral trade, and promoting the quality and level of bilateral trade. The two parties signed memorandum of understanding on related cooperation.
