The Work of Focusing on the “Unusual”, Fighting in “200 days” and Providing First-Class Service to the First China International Import Expo Launched Comprehensively

On the morning of April 18th, 200 days before the opening of the China International Import Expo, the mobilization meeting for providing first-class service to the first import expo was held at the National Convention and Exhibition Center (Shanghai). Vice Minister of Commerce and Director of the China International Import and Export Bureau, Wang Bingnan, attended the meeting and delivered speeches. All officials from the Expo Bureau and National Convention and Exhibition Center attended the meeting.

The conference emphasized that holding the import expo is a major decision made by the CPC Central Committee to advance a new round of high-level opening up to the outside world, and is an important measure for us to actively open up the market to the world. To create first-rate on-site services, it is necessary to implement every task and the requirements of the CPC Central Committee and focus on the “unusual” that General Secretary Xi Jinping has emphasized on many occasions. Secondly, we must benchmark the world’s best, learn from the successful experience of the world’s top exhibitions, and strive to demonstrate first-class on-site service as the host. Thirdly, we must highlight need and demand, and take the demands of politicians at home and abroad, exhibitors, merchants, and audiences as the starting point, and work hard for actual effects. Fourthly, we must meticulously create bright spots, forge professional, convenient, efficient, green and clean-fingered first-class services, and strive to create a high-level import expo that will make our expo unforgettable.

The conference pointed out that the main tasks of on-site services is to build five service systems, including exhibitor services, service tour services, transaction services, forum services, and reception services, and to create internationalized, professional and first-rate services covering pre-show, mid-show, and post-show. Firstly, we must forge a professional overseas exhibitor service system, increase the breadth and accuracy of the purchasers’ invitations, protect intellectual property rights, and enhance exhibition service levels. Secondly, we must create a comfortable exhibition tour service system to form a navigation system that integrates intelligent navigation, map navigation, logo navigation, and manual navigation to optimize the exhibition experience. Thirdly, we must create an efficient transaction promotion service system, build a digital expo, and establish a combination of online and offline transaction service systems. Fourthly, we must create a sound forum conference service system to promote cooperation in international trade, investment, technology and human resources. Fifthly, we must create a reception security service system of high quality to ensure the transportation, housing and catering are well.

The meeting emphasized that it is necessary to build a base of first-class service framework program, refine and form a on-site service manual and specify the timetables, road maps, accountability and work according to the charts and operations. It is necessary to take serious work discipline into account and work hard to implement the work with an extremely responsible attitude, and strive to forge a world-class service system, service brand and service effectiveness.
